The Colorado Avalanche look to stay hot against their Central Division rival, the Winnipeg Jets. It will be the first of four times that the teams meet in the regular season. And the Avs have turned on the afterburners. Colorado is averaging seven goals per game to Winnipeg’s three. After meeting twice in the preseason, the two will hit the ground running, just with completely different lineups. Both teams will now ice their full NHL rosters as opposed to rosters full of prospects. So we can expect different games than the last time the two met.

Colorado Avalanche (2–0–0)

The Avalanche are one of two teams left in the NHL that remain undefeated. They will look to do so on Wednesday night as they roll Zachary L’Heureux into the lineup for the first time this season. The gritty forward has been out with a lower-body injury and has said that he is pumped for his Avalanche debut. Colorado won its last game against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday with a final of 6–1. A lot of mistakes by goaltender Jordan Binnington led the way for the Avs. But the old power play was back, not scoring a single goal on four chances. Colorado has spread the love with five different goal scorers, with Martin Necas being the only one with a multi-goal night.
