CENTENNIAL, Colo. — The Colorado Avalanche wrapped up their last practice on Friday before playing Dallas, with nothing but good news. Everyone appears to be healthy. You heard that right. Everyone appears to be healthy.

Health Report

Health was going to be the major concern for the Avalanche as they started the playoffs. Ryan Lindgren, who has not played since April 8 against the Vegas Golden Knights, took part in his first full practice since.

Josh Manson, who has also been out of the lineup since March 14 against Calgary, also took part in the whole practice. According to Meghan Angley of Guerilla Sports, both Manson and Lindgren will be available for Game 1. With both defensemen available, this will provide a huge physical presence on the blue line for the Avalanche.

The question that everyone wants answered is, will Gabriel Landeskog play tomorrow? Based on Friday’s practice, the belief is that he will be at least a Game 1 scratch. Landeskog was once again on the fifth line alongside Miles Wood and Jimmy Vesey. The most encouraging part of Friday was that Landeskog did some special teams’ work. Later, in the power play drills, he donned a burgundy sweater meant for the second unit. Head coach Jared Bednar did say that he an option for the series though.

Morning Call-Up

Before the practice started on Friday morning, the Avalanche recalled Colorado Eagles’ goaltender Keven Madolese. He was not present at the Family Sports Center, so it was more precautionary. The season with the Eagles Mandolese was 11–6–0–1 with a 2.87 goals against average and .903 save percentage. Mandolese will serve as the third goalie for the start of the playoffs for the Avalanche.
