The Colorado Avalanche will wrap up a three-game home stand against a third different Canadian team. They will host the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night at Ball Arena.
This game against Vancouver will also wrap up the season series between the two. The Avs will eye a season sweep after winning in overtime in Vancouver in November and winning at home back on December 1.
Colorado Avalanche (49β14β10, 108 pts)
Colorado absolutely demolished the Calgary Flames on Monday night in a 9β2 final. They had eight different goal-scorers, with the power play going 3-for-4 and two of those tallies coming from Nazem Kadri.

The win also marked the fourth time since 1995 that an NHL team has beaten every team in the league in a single season. It was certainly a much-needed win after falling flat against the Winnipeg Jets two days earlier.
Against the league’s worst team, the Avs should be able to extend their lead in the Central Division over the Dallas Stars. However, they may have to do it without Cale Makar. He left Monday’s game with an upper-body injury and didn’t return.

Vancouver Canucks (21β44β8, 50 pts)
Vancouver will want this season to wrap up as soon as possible. They are coming off a 4β2 loss against the Vegas Golden Knights with their new head coach, John Tortorella, at the helm.
The loss marked the sixth straight defeat for the bottom feeders of the Pacific Division. It marked a third-long losing streak the team has suffered since the turn of the new year.
Both Elias Petterson and former DU Pioneer Zeev Buium look to steer the Canucks back in the right direction. Meanwhile, Evander Kane played in his 1,000th game on Monday night and will look to leave his mark as well.
