The Colorado Avalanche head right back into action on Sunday afternoon. It comes in the City of Brotherly Love against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Philly plans to capitalize on Colorado’s potential fatigue in the second game of consecutive games. Their impressive home record of 9–4–2 is on the line in this tilt as they look for win number 10 on home ice.
Colorado Avalanche (20–2–6, 46 pts)
Colorado played Saturday afternoon in a matinee matchup against the New York Rangers. With a second close matchup against a New York City-based team, the Avs had to earn it after falling earlier in the trip against the New York Islanders.
They did just that, thanks to none other than Nathan MacKinnon. He scored two goals, including an insane game-winner beyond regulation to take the 3–2 victory. Martin Necas also added an assist on all three goals.

With Scott Wedgewood on the mend, Mackenzie Blackwood has been called upon more recently. But perhaps in this game, Trent Miner might get the nod. There is also an outside chance of Gavin Brindley returning from injury. Colorado looks for its league-leading 21st win of the season in game three of the four-game road trip.
