Savvy Rafkin

Savvy, a native of Lyons, Colorado, graduated with a Journalism degree from Colorado State University in 2023. She began her writing career in 2019 with the Rocky Mountain Collegian, where she was the only woman on the sports desk, covering softball. From 2020-2022, she worked with CSU Athletics, covering softball, volleyball, and women’s soccer. After contributing to The Rink in 2023-2024, she joined Hockey Mountain High in March 2025. Savvy now resides just south of Fort Collins and enjoys reading and spending time with friends in her free time.
